Does anyone know if the Supers are running along with the crates this week at Wythe? After the fiasco the other week with 'The Gap', I hope Fred would keep his own boys on the schedule for this week. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunatly there is no supers this week at Wythe but I think it is in the interest of highlighting the crate cars and not taking away from the crate show. It is very hard to have a crate race be the feature and not be distracted by a regular Super Race... here is the schedule of events for Saturday
Race Day Format
A. Hot Laps: Mini Stocks, FASTRAK Pro Crate Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Streets
B. Qualify: 1 Lap FASTRAK Pro Crate LM
**Top 16 advance to feature** These drivers will be available for autographs in the grandstands until the conclusion of the Consi Races
C. Hornet Feature (15 Laps)
D. FASTRAK Consi Races
**Number of consi races and advancing Cars will be dependent on the number of entries**
E. Open Wheel Modified Feature (20 Laps)
F. FASTRAK Feature (50 Laps)
G. Super Street Feature (20 Laps)
H. Mini Stock Feature (20 Laps)

Bulls Gap is running Friday for the Ray Cook Southern Nationals and will not be open on Saturday....... but the final race of the Ray Cook Southern Nationals will be a Tazewell on Saturday night, maybe 2 cars from Wythe would try to go to Tazewell

Yeah I'd like for little Kenny to go see how his car matches up @ Tazwell. Thats one fast track!! We all know Damon Eller will be there. Who else may venture off I feel Jimmy McCormick could do well.

I hate some of the features got rained out this past Saturday, but I think another week without running Supers is a mistake. The Gap is scheduled for Friday night again this week, so it wouldn't be a conflict there. Let's face it, the big boys are what most people come to see and leaving them off for a second week in a row is not a good move.

I agree to some extent but WOW what a field of crate cars!!! And you know Freds motto He don't want us to stay all night he just wants us to come for a visit LOL. I have to agree families with young children and yes those children are our future They don't need to have kids out till 2 or 3 a.m..

Let's look at it this way, one more week for some of these boys to get thier cars back together or tweak on them a little plus some of them are still waiting for their engines to be ready again. The clash race is August 5th, everyone will have their stuff fresh for the big race..........:wythe:
